This one was just applied directly over the Mr. Surfacer primer, but I think a white base coat works best.

You don’t see many biplanes at the shows around here, I suspect that there are more biplane kits binned than finished. Getting the upper wing on solidly and aligned properly is a major hurtle, anything the manufacturer could do to help with that would be welcomed!

So true. The only biplane I finished had alignment issues. The top and bottom wings were not aligned and they were scissored. Annoying
