Revell of Germany Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 of Erich Hartmann in 1/72 Scale

Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4, Stab I. / JG 52, Deutsch Brod Czechoslovakia, May 1945, Pilot Erich Hartmann.  Revell of Germany kit with a replacement propeller.  Another of Erich Hartman’s Messerschmitts, and one of the first ones which I modeled several years ago.  The markings are supposedly of his mount at the end of the war, but subsequently additional photographic evidence emerged which calls that into question.

    1. Thanks Pat, several of Hartmann’s aircraft had the tulip design on the nose. Then he realized the Soviet airmen were avoiding him after they recognized the design, so Hartmann would fly unmarked aircraft while new pilots flew his tulip machines.
