Fine Molds Messerschmitt Bf 109F-2 of Lt. Johannes Wiese in 1/72 Scale

Johannes Wiese was one of the leading Luftwaffe experten credited with 133 victories in World War Two, all of them achieved on the Eastern Front.   At the Battle of Kursk on 05JUL43 he was credited with shooting down twelve Russian Il-2 Sturmovic during a single mission.

This is the Bf 109F-2 of Lt. Johannes Wiese, I / JG52 Katwijk, Netherlands, SEP 1941, built from the excellent Fine Molds kit.  The camouflage is an unique field applied scheme, possibly using French or Dutch paint.  The aircraft also carried an unusual radio antenna arrangement consisting of three wires.  There are two rare color photographs of this machine which I have posted below.
