Jeff, I wonder if this isn’t a picture of head of CI Bomber Command, Col. William Eareckson (known as “Wild Bill” and “Eric”), known to make daring sorties in a Kingfisher—though the article made it sound like he flys it himself.
I couldn’t figure out how to send you the Osprey article to you; it’s on the IPMS/John Glenn Facebook page.
