I’d never thought about it before, but it makes sense a seaplane would do well in a belly landing. The surprising thing (to me at least) is they used the beaching gear to take off again.

Well, there was no other way to get it off of the ground I suppose. It certainly would make an interesting and unique diorama. Shepherd Paine-esque IMHO.
