The 10th Independent Fighter Group operated over China from 1938 through 1940. This is another Mania kit reboxed by Hasegawa, this one dating back to 1970. There are some shape errors in this tool, notably the cockpit is positioned too far forward and the horizontal tailplane needs to be moved a little further back. Still, it is a much easier build than the newer ICM offering which suffers from over-engineering.

Nice!
I have one of the ICM kits in the stash, but haven’t looked at it in forever. I do remember a lot of fine rivet detail that, to me at least, looks like it wouldn’t survive a coat of primer or paint.
Have you tried the ICM kit yet?

The ICM kit has nice detail but is way over-engineered. I actually prefer the old Mania kit. I built both here: https://inchhighguy.wordpress.com/2019/07/12/ki-27-nate-build-in-1-72-scale-mania-and-icm-kits-part-i/

Thanks! Hmmm, might sell my ICM kit. Life is too short to get frustrated as needlessly fiddly kits.
