BuNo 16130 carried the North Atlantic gray scheme and was assigned to Composite Squadron 8 (VC-10) embarked on the escort carrier USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60). Pilot was LTJG F. H. Behlen III.

Great stuff. Do you feel the effort on the interior of the wheel wells was worth it? It looks fantastic, of course — but I usually wouldn’t invest the time in something I may never see much again, so I’m curious about your philosophy here! 🙂

I think the level of detail is appropriate, you can see into the wheelwells to some degree. I’m not a big fan of adding detail to an interior and then closing it up forever though, the “at least I’ll know it’s there” argument doesn’t hold water.
