I-16 Type 18 of Col. Ivan Romanenko HSU, CO of the 61st Fighter Brigade, Soviet Navy Baltic Fleet Aviation, September 1941. Romanenko was credited with 28 individual and 1 shared victory. Romanenko survived the war and retired as a Lieutenant General.









Very interesting camouflage indeed.

Subject to interpretation, this is my best guess on what the colors might be. Field camo can be hard to sort out.

Not on this one. I did leave out all the invisible engine supports the kit provides, the cowl won’t fit if you try to put it in.

Ditto with the Bf 109F-4. I should have trusted the guy who had reviewed that model kit.
