If you search “Cornfield Bomber” there are several photos of the incident. It would make an interesting diorama!

Re the incident – I had read of that occurrence; your post revealed that its guidance system controlled the aircraft, the pilot did little other than to take off and land. A Y Tube video with the pilot, differed in info from other written accounts of it:
As that happened in 1970, perhaps the auto industry’s efforts to produce cars that drive themselves might have government involvement?
