I can relate to this one, although mine was in 1/48 scale.

I’ve wanted to see one of these built up. I have one each of the Tamiya Spits, but I’d like to replace them with the newer Airfix toolings.

The Airfix kits are nice, one of their better efforts IMHO. I’ve never built the Tamiya kits.

Looking good so far, Jeff! 🙂 As you’ve pointed out, does seem strange not to have RAF markings with a kit of what is no doubt the most famous RAF fighter!

Thanks John! It would sure help when the aftermarket sheet only gives you one set of insignia but multiple codes!

I’m just jealous you have a Mk Vc in your scale!

Didn’t Eduard do one in 1/48?

Its been announced, but isn’t available yet. I’m sure its one of those I’ll need to jump on quick too, it will probably sell out in a matter of hours.

Their 1/72 Spitfires are great kits, so I’d expect the 1/48 offering to be top notch!

That looks a great kit- nice to see it is in blue plastic as my 1980s Airfix spitfire was also in blue plastic. I remember making it in my Grandparents’ house.
The pair of cockpits look great too.
Cheers,
Pete.
