Great post! I had not heard of this airplane before. Sad ending for the crews that test flew the airplane. Thanks for sharing this story.

What David said, I had no idea, and my sympathies for those that lost their lives in the testing. Truly, those folks are unsung heroes with ‘nads of steel.

Great post- I also was unaware of the aircraft. I’m surprised they made so many of what was evidentlyt an unsuitable airframe.
Then again how many Blackburn Bothas werre there…?

Seems everyone had trouble with wooden airframes except DeHaviland.
